Kidding aside, there are always going to be those for whom locally running applications and local storage of files will be a requirement, but it is my sense that the majority of users won&#039;t need them.
As for airplanes, I bet in five years there will be Internet on board on all flights longer than two hours.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Google apps and storing all your files in the clouds is all well and fine -- but what happens if you happen to be in one of these zones with no wireless internet, such as, say, an inflight airplane, an airport terminal in a foreign country with ridiculously overpriced wifi, or a country outside of North America or Western Europe ? Of course, it depends on your own usage. Mine involving field work in remote corners (I&#039;m a geologist), I still definitely need to &quot;physically&quot; carry my files + computing power with me -- that is, an old fashioned laptop...]]></description>
